Principal for the Day!

Posted Date: 10/16/25 (5:10 PM)

School was in session on Tuesday, Oct. 14 for eight lucky members of the Oregon Trail School District community, thanks to the annual Principal for the Day event, held in partnership with the Sandy Area Chamber of Commerce. The event brings in locals to follow along with a principal while visiting classrooms, meeting staff and students and learning more about the challenges and opportunities in managing a school. From Career & Technical Education classes to high-fives with students in the hall to understanding all that goes into creating a daily school schedule, the community members got a firsthand look into education, followed by a chance to share their experiences at a lunch sponsored by Ever Fresh Fruit Company and catered by the Antfarm Cafe & Bakery.
This year's Principal for the Day participants were Mary Forrest of Forrest Insurance Agency, Ken Harrison of Sandy Kiwanis, Brian York of Clackamas County Bank, Seth Olson of Clackamas County Bank, Paul Reed of Mt. Hood Athletic Club, Kim Turin of Jamba Juice/Mt. Hood Eye Care, Lacy Renard of Stow-A-Way Mini Storage and Lisa Snider of the Mountain Festival Committee.
Thanks to the Chamber and everyone involved!
